چکیده

Elevated [CO2] reduced phenolic contents during the seedling, tillering, elongation and flowering stages. At maturity, however, a significant or trend of increase was observed (Fig.1). Leaf gas exchange parameters showed that acclimation of photosynthesis to CO2 could have led to that change in response. Indeed, plants grown at elevated [CO2] exhibited higher net photosynthetic rate (A) values from the seedling to the tillering stage, but a slight decrease during the flowering stage. That was accompanied with increased A/gs, and with reduced gs, Ci/Ca, E (Fig.2), chlorophylls and carotenoids (Fig.3).

Response of leaf endophytic bacterial community to elevated CO2 at different growth stages of rice plant

Plant endophytic bacteria play an important role in plant growth and health. In the context of climate change, the response of plant endophytic bacterial communities to elevated CO2 at different rice growing stages is poorly understood. Using 454 pyrosequencing, we investigated the response of leaf endophytic bacterial communities to elevated CO2 (eCO2) at the tillering, filling, and maturity s...

Different sowing dates affected cotton yield and yield components

This study was conducted to determine whether selecting an optimum sowing date couldimprove yield. The experiment consisted of sowing a film-covered, drip-irrigated cotton field onfour sowing dates from April to May in 2011-2012 at the Agrometeorological ExperimentalStation of Wulanwusu, which was in an arid region of north-western China. Late sowing datesproduced less yield and water-use effic...

Potential effects of individual versus simultaneous climate change factors on growth and water use in chickpea

It has been reported that in different regions and sowing dates, the response of crops to past climate change is not the same, due to different rates of decrease/increase in each climatic variable at different regions and months of year. This study was aimed to assess the effect of individual versus simultaneous changes in solar radiation (S), precipitation (P) and temperature (T) on rainf...

The Effect of Climate Change on the Yield of Rice in the Rasht County

Given the climatic changes and threats to food security in recent years, they have have become a major issue in agricultural climatology. The present study aimed to investigate the status of agricultural climate suitable for the cultivation of rice in the light of the influential climatic conditions in the past. Given the effect of temperature and the amount of precipitations on rice growth and...

مدل‌سازی اثر تغییر اقلیم بر انتشار دی‌اکسیدکربن خاک در مراتع خشک (جنوب ایران)

Introduction: Carbon stored in soils particularly in arid rangelands soils is the most significant carbon sink in terrestrial ecosystems. In arid rangelands, Soils have special places in both carbon sequestration and mitigate global warming. Therefore, any small change in the soil organic carbon (SOC) leads to a significant impact on the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere. Studies have shown t...
